Oven-Steamed Salmon
Perfectly cooked salmon—this cooking technique is so quick and simple, you’ll want to fix it every night of the week.
Makes: 4 fillets Total time: 30 minutes
| 4 | 4 oz. fillets fresh center-cut salmon, skin-on4 4 oz. |
| ½ | tsp. kosher salt 1/2 tsp. |
| ¼ | tsp. coarsely ground black pepper 1/4 tsp. |
Fill a pan with 1 inch of hot water. Place the pan in the oven before adding the water to avoid sloshing it on the floor. Preheat oven to 325°. Spray cooling rack with nonstick spray.
Remove pin bones from fillets; season fillets with salt and pepper. Place prepared fillets, skin-side down, on the rack, 1⁄2-inch apart. Place prepared rack on top of the water-filled pan in the oven.
Oven-steam salmon 15–18 minutes, or until desired doneness is reached. Serve with Creamy Champagne Sauce and steamed green beans.
