Whiskey Cola BBQ Sauce
This sauce includes the leftover marinade from the steak, but it's boiled long enough that you don't have to worry about cross-contamination.

|1⁄2||1/2cup diced onion|
|1||1 jalapeño, seeded and minced|
Boil reserved marinade, ketchup, onion, and jalapeño in a saucepan over high heat until thick, about 30 minutes. Strain sauce and discard solids before basting or serving.
