Ginger-Jasmine Tea Sushi Rice

Bursting with the tastes of ginger, garlic, and jasmine tea, this rice is the perfect side for any Asian entrée.

22Tbsp. sliced scallions
11Tbsp. each minced fresh ginger and garlic
14 1/4tsp. red pepper flakes
11Tbsp. toasted sesame oil
11cup dry sushi rice
1 141 1/4cups water
22bags jasmine green tea
Salt, pepper, rice vinegar to taste
Sliced scallions

Cook 2 Tbsp. scallions, ginger, garlic, and pepper flakes in oil in a saucepan over medium-low heat, 1 minute.

Stir in rice to coat with oil; cook 1 minute. Increase heat to high, add water and tea bags, and bring water to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cover rice and simmer until liquid is absorbed, about 20 minutes. Remove pan from heat and let rice stand 10 minutes. Remove and discard tea bags. Season rice with salt, black pepper, and vinegar; garnish with scallions.
