Rosé Wine-Steamed Mussels
After a hot, hectic day, what do you make for dinner when you don’t feel like cooking? Give the French classic, mussels and fries, a try. Break away from typical mussels steamed in white wine and opt for a dry rosé. The crisp wine pairs well with the light anise flavor of fennel and slightly sweet taste of mussels. Then trade French fries for crouton fries. Basically just bread sticks sautéed until crisp, they’re perfect for soaking up that flavorful rosé broth.
