Clean String Tip

It can be tricky keeping kitchen string clean while tying raw meat or poultry. To solve that issue and prevent the string from unwinding, make a dispenser. Use either a heavy-duty disposable plastic cup or a clean sour cream or yogurt container.

For the cup, cut a slit halfway down the side, then place the string in the cup and pull the end through the slit.

For the container option, place the string inside, cut a small slit in the lid, and thread the string through.
